Montana FWP working on new mountain lion management plan
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is beginning the process of drafting a new mountain lion management plan. At present, mountain lion management in the state is guided by a 1996 Environmental Impact Statement. In recent years, mountain lions have become a contentious topic, with strong disagreement between various groups over how the cats should be managed. We will be closely following the process and participating if/when possible.
